Ho Chi Minh city: Minh Ly religion celebrates 92nd founding anniversary

On January 16, Minh Ly religion solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 92nd founding anniversary at Tam Tong Temple in District 3, Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC).

Attending the ceremony were dignitaries of the Church Council of Minh Ly religion and followers inside and outside the locality, and representatives from  HCMC Committee for Religious Affairs and the city’s relevant departments and agencies.

At the ceremony, Dignitary Lê Chơn Huệ, Head of the Church Council recalled the founding process of Minh Ly Church, and the establishments of the Church Council and the Church’s clergy system. 

Dignitary Lê Chơn Huệ also stated the Church’s determination to promote unity and guide believers to live for "better religious and secular life". He took the chance to express his deep thanks to state authorities at all levels for creating favorable conditions for the Church to successfully organize this important event.

Minh Ly religion is an endogenous religion and its followers have to be vegetarian at least six days monthly. Teachings of Minh Ly religion combine the essence of the three major Eastern religions of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism.
