On October 28th, 2014, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, acting Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) signed the notification No 359/TB.HĐTS on the organization of a requiem ceremony for victims of traffic accidents.
According to the notification, the Central VBS in collaboration with the National traffic safety committee, the Ho Chi Minh provincial Executive Committee will hold a memorial and requiem ceremony to pray for the victims of traffic accidents on November 9th, 2014, at Vinh Nghiem pagoda (No 339 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, ward 7, district 3, HCMC), in response to "World day of remembrance for victims of road traffic accidents" 2014 and as part of the program of the traffic safety 2014 in Vietnam.
