On December 17, the Peace Committee in collaboration with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee in Hanoi city held a requiem for Vietnamese and overseas soldiers and civilians killed in 1972 bombing in Hanoi.
Attending the ceremony included Most Venerable Chairman of Hanoi city’s VBS Executive Committee Thích Bảo Nghiêm, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organization Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Vân and Deputy Head of the Hanoi’s Peace Committee Đào Thanh Hương.
During the ceremony, participants attended prayers for spiritual uplifting and offered incense to solders and ordinary people killed by B52 bombing in 1972 in Hanoi.
