On June 26, Ha Tinh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee held an opening ceremony for the summer retreat course 2016 (B.E. 2560) at Thanh Luong Pagoda in Ha Tinh province’s Nghi Xuan district.
Attending the event included Most Venerable Chairman of the Central VBS Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn, Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Bảo Nghiêm, and large numbers of monks, nuns and Buddhists from pagodas and monasteries in the locality. Representatives of local authorities also joint the ceremony.
The summer retreat course this year is held at Thanh Luong Pagoda in Nghi Xuan district’s Xuan An commune for 34 Buddhist participants and Hong Linh Zen Monastery in Nghi Xuan district’s Xuan Vien commune with 10 Buddhist attendants.
