Ha Noi city: Cultural exchange for charity and prayers for HIV/AIDS victims

A night of cultural exchange for the charity program “Warm Blankets for Children” and requiem for HIV/AIDS victims at Phap Van pagoda was held on November 11.

Attending the event included Venerable Thích Thanh Huân, Deputy Chief of the Central Office the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), Abbot of Phap Van pagoda and Assoc. Prof. Dr Bùi Đức Dương, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control.

As a response to HIV/AIDS Day, before commencing the charitable cultural exchange, Phap Van pagoda presented gifts to people living with HIV and organized a requiem ritual for those died of HIV/AIDS.

The program was then followed by a charity auction to raise fund for supporting  poor families in Bac Giang and Ha Giang provinces.

With this charity program, Phap Van pagoda in collaboration with Sen Hong Viet Nam Humanitarian Support Foundation hoped to make 1000 charitable gift boxes.
