Ha Giang provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee reviewed its performance 2014 and set forth plans for 2015 at a conference held on Jan. 15 at Thien An pagoda.
Joining Buddhists in the locality at the conference were representatives from relevant provincial departments and agencies.
As reported at the conference, the provincial VBS Executive Committee in 2014 achieved positive outcomes in many aspects; during the year, pagodas in the province have relentlessly promoted positive spiritual values as well as preserved fine ceremonial characteristics in a diverse culture of peoples in the locality. Especially, in 2014, the VBS Committee’s Charity Board encouraged and raised a sum of 3,125 million VND for social and charitable activities, such as paying charity visits to poor people on occasion of the New Year, making contributions to the fund for Agent Orange/dioxin victims, providing assistance to poor children…
