Giac Ngo pagoda - Today's Buddhist Foundation visited on September 11 the Field Hospital No.10 located in An Khanh ward of Ho Chi Minh City’s Thu Duc City for presenting four monitors to the hospital.
The presentation ceremony saw the presence of Dr. Tô Văn Hiền, Deputy Director of the hospital and Senior Venerable Thích Nhật Từ, Abbot of Giac Ngo pagoda cum Chairman of the Today’s Buddhist Foundation.
During the event, while receiving four monitors, Dr. Tô Văn Hiền thanked Senior Venerable Thích Nhật Từ and lay Buddhists of Giac Ngo pagoda for the noble monitor donation, and informed that the monitor was an essential and useful medical device in monitoring the status of critically ill patients, mechanically ventilated patients, and hemodynamically unstable patients. The support of Buddhist sponsors has strengthened both material and spiritual resources of the frontline medical force fighting the epidemic.
It is known that in the past three months, Giac Ngo pagoda – Today’s Buddhist Foundation has called for donations to present more than 900 tons of goods, 144 oxygen generators, ventilators, and defibrillators, and more than 350,000 equipment and medical supplies to hospitals, medical facilities and lockdown and isolation areas in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces with the total value of over 26.9 billion VND.
