A ceremony for thanksgiving and consecration of Bible in Jrai language was held on December 6 by Jrai ethnic dignitaries and deacons at Plei Breng Church under the General Confederation of Evangelical Churches of Vietnam (Southern).
The ceremony was presided by Pastor Nguyễn Ngọc Thuận, Deputy General Secretary of the Church and attended by dignitaries, deacons and followers in the locality and representatives from local authorities.
It’s reports that the translation of Bible into ethnic language was started in 1960s by the Summer Language Institute (USA). The completion of Bible translation in ethnic languages of Ede, Jarai, Bana has been completed and published in recent years.
