Four new Catholic parishes established in Lam Dong

The Da Lat diocese organized a Mass on July 04-05 for formally establishing four parishes under Da Tong deanery and appointing new parishes’ heads.  

Four newly established parishes of Rômen, Liêng Srônh, Đạ R’Sal and Đạ K’Nàng in Dam Rong mountainous district of Lam Dong province have been upgraded from their congregation status, and currently have 10,400 Catholic followers intotal.

At the event, Priests of Dominic Nguyễn Ngọc Trang, Giuse Nguyễn Tiến Đạt, Vincentê Vũ Tấn Thành and John Đỗ Hữu Tài were officially appointed as heads of Rômen, Liêng Srônh, Đạ R’Sal and Đạ K’Nàng parishes respectively.

Dam Rong is a mountainous district established in 2014, located in the northwest of Lam Dong province, with a population of 44,950 people in which about 33,300 residents are followers of different religions.
