The representative committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism in Kien Giang province held on July 1 a solemn ceremony to mark the 79th anniversary of Hoa Hao Buddhism (the 18th day of the fifth lunar month).
Attending the ceremony taking place in the committee’s office located in the province’s Kien Giang city also included representatives of Caodai sects, Pure-land Buddhist Association, worshipping establishments and local authorities in the province.
During the ceremony, the Hoa Hao Buddhism’s executive committee reminded followers of duties to uphold core teachings and values of the Buddhist sect for fulfilling the religious mission that aims to help people attain salvation and freedom from all kinds of suffering.
