As part of the cultural festival 2019, an exhibition on formal dressing of the Mother Goddess worship will be held from April 8-9 in Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
The show aims to introduce cultural, historical and artistic values of Vietnam’s Mother Goddess worship.
During the show, visitors will have a chance to see worshipping symbols and objects, decorations of worshipping altars and worshipping temples, and formal clothes used by practitioners in worshipping rituals of the Mother Goddess worship though vivid photos taken in the early years of the new millennium.
In particular, a forum on the worship of Mother Goddess of Four Realms and its worshipping temples and rituals will take place at 14pm on April 8 with the participation of scholars and practitioners of the faith.
According to Ms. Đàm Lan, Director of the film 'Vietnamese Mother – Mother Goddess Worship’, the exhibition is such a general introduction of the Mother Goddess worship through visionary images shown in the space of a worshipping temple model, with objects used in worship rituals, and cultural and artistic values shared by experts during the exhibition.
