Gia Hung parish under Vinh diocese held on August 25-26 a Eucharistic adoration mass at the parish’s church located in Quang Binh province’s Bo Trach district.
The Eucharistic event chaired by Auxiliary Bishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Viên was attended by priests from Dong Troc deanery and Catholic followers from Gia Hung and other parishes.
During the Eucharistic adoration, 300 lay people of the parish received the sacrament of confirmation that helps them strengthen their Catholic faith in their lives.
Gia Hung parish was established in 1890. The parish consists of four communities of Gia Hung, Ha Thanh, Hoi Nghia and Bong Lai and two clusters of parishioners Ru Voi and Thanh Thuy. It currently has 6,700 parishioners administered by Priest Peter Nguyễn Đại.
