A general meeting to elect members of the Representative Committee under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) (ECVN) in Lam Dong province for the 2018-2019 tenure was held on September 14.
The meeting took place at Bon Rom Church in the province’s Duc Trong district with the participation of Pastor Member of the ECVN’s Executive Committee in charge of pastoral affairs in Lam Dong province Kon Să Ha Hăck, Pastor Chairman of the provincial Representative Committee Cil Múp Ha Kar and over 300 dignitaries and deacons from the ECVN’s chapters and congregations in the province.
Local guest at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Lê Minh An.
The meeting elected 5 members to the ECVN’s Representative Committee in the province for the 2018 – 2019 tenure with Pastor Bùi Phụng, Superintendent of Da Lat Church, elected as the Committee Chairman.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Lê Minh An acknowledged practical contributions made by the Representative Committee during the past term and expressed hope that the new Protestant Committee would continue encouraging followers to proactively join in patriotic movements launched by local authorities.
