The groundbreaking ceremony for rebuilding Three Jewels temple of Dong Tuong pagoda located in Nghe An province’s Quynh Luu district took place on May 5.
During the event, all Buddhist dignitaries and participants strictly implemented measures for the Covid-19 epidemic prevention.
Performing Buddhist rites at the ceremony
According to history, Dong Tuong pagoda was built in 1740 and has been repaired for several times. The reconstruction of the pagoda on an area of over 9,000 m2 with an entrance gate, the Three Jewels worshipping hall, an ancestral worshipping temple, a lecture hall, etc. was approved in 2020.
The pagoda has currently been managed by Venerable Thích Quảng Xuân.
