The provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee solemnly inaugurated its new office at a ceremony held in Nhat Hoa village, Hoa Hiep commune, Bien Hoa city on Jan 10.
Attending the ceremony were Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, Acting Chairman of the VBS Executive Council, Most Venerable Thích Minh Chánh, Head of the Dong Nai provincial VBS Executive Committee, Most Venerable Thích Nhuận Thanh, Head of Binh Phuoc VBS Executive Committee, dignitaries from Dong Nai VBS Executive Committee and the Central VBS Office II, Buddhists inside and outside the locality.
Local guests at the ceremony included Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Vy Văn Vũ, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thanh Hùng, Chairman of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Huỳnh Văn Tịnh and representatives from local authorities.
The construction of the new office of Dong Nai provincial VBS Executive Committee was built in 2013. This pagoda office will also be used as a venue for important cultural and spiritual events of Buddhist in the province.
