Da Nang city: Phap Van pagoda inaugurated

Phap Van pagoda in Da Nang’s Thanh Khe district was solemnly inaugurated at a ceremony held on March 21.

Buddhist dignitaries attending this event were Most Venerable Thích Như Thọ, Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Discernment Council, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nguyện, Member of the VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the Da Nang city VBS Executive Committee, and members of the Da Nang city VBS Executive Committee.

Guests at the ceremony included Director of Buddhist Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Hữu Dược, and representatives from local authorities.

During the ceremony, Most Venerable Thích Chí Mãn, on behalf of Buddhists at Phap Van pagoda, presented 30 million VND for building charity houses for the poor in the locality./.
