On occasion of Amitabha Buddha's birthday, Hue Quang pagoda held a vegetarian food festival in Hoa An ward, Cam Le distric on Jan. 7 with nearly 400 Buddhist followers in the city in attendance.
The food fair introduced over 20 vegetarian dishes such as cakes, Quang’s pasta, salad, jelly, rolls made by Buddhists of Hue Quang pagoda with the aim to promote vegetarianism, meditation, and other Buddhist practices for nurturing compassion and protecting the environment.
On this occasion, Hue Quang pagoda released 1,000 candle lights and organized art performances to celebrate Amitabha Buddha’s birthday, creating a warm and peace atmosphere for Buddhists in the locality.
Currently, Hue Quang pagoda is administered by Venerable Thích Thông Huệ, Head of Legal Affairs Committee of Da Nang city Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee.
