Cua Ong temple festival 2021

03/18/2021

Cua Ong temple festival took place on March 15th (the third of the second lunar month) at Cua Ong special national relic site located in Quang Ninh province’s Cam Pha city.

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this year festival was held only with worshipping rituals, without festive activities.

The festival’s traditional rituals included the incense offering ceremony dedicated to Hung Nhuong Dai Vuong (Trần Quốc Tảng), deities worshipped at Thuong temple, and the Mother Goddess of Cua Ong temple.

Cua Ong temple festival is annually held on the third and fourth of the second and the eighth lunar month to commemorate Hung Nhuong Dai Vuong and several generals under Trần Dynasty for their contributions in defeating aggressors and defending the Northwest region of the country.
