On November 9th, at Gam worshipping complex (Chi Linh pagoda) in Xuan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province, a ceremony was solemnly held for inauguration of a guesthouse worth over 5 billion VND.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committees of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa provinces; local authorities and Buddhists inside and outside the locality.
On November 8th, Chi Linh pagoda holds a ceremony for installing a statue of Buddha Shakyamuni (made of white stone, high 2,3m and worth 50 million VND)
Gam pagoda (Chi Linh pagoda) was built in the eighteenth century, as a place of worshipping Buddha Shakyamuni, The Samyak-saṃbuddha and Buddha Avalokitesvara. Chi Linh pagoda is the famous historical, cultural and spiritual center of Nghe An province.
