The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter in Ha Nam province organized on April 22 separate charitable programs, ahead of the UN Day of Vesak 2019.
During the charity programs, Senior Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee in Ha Nam Thích Thanh Quyết visited and presented 180 gift sets to seriously wounded soldiers being cared at nursing centers for war invalids in Duy Tien and Kim Bang districts in the province.
Also on the day, the Senior Venerable presented 200 million VND for building four charitable houses for disadvantaged families in the locality.
VBS in Ha Nam hands over financial supports for building charitable houses
As reported, the VBS’s chapter in Ha Nam province supported the construction of charitable houses for ten families in 2018, and expected to help building houses for nine disadvantaged households including Catholic families this year.

In addition, the VBS in Ha Nam extended Easter visits to parishes of Kim Bang, Trang Chau (Phu Ly city) and An Phu (Thanh Liem district) for extending happy Easter celebrations to local Catholics.
