On October 14, a delegation of the Central Buddhists Guiding Committee under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) led by Most Venerable Thích Thiện Duyên, Vice President of the Central VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the Central Buddhists Guiding Committee had a meeting with the Tien Giang provincial VBS Executive Committee at its head office in Vinh Trang pagoda.
Attending the meeting with the delegation were large numbers of Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the province, including Most Venerable Thích Huệ Tâm, Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial VBS Executive Committee; Venerable Thích Giác Nhân, Member of the Central VBS Executive Council cum Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial VBS Executive Committee; Venerable Thích Nhuận Đức, Head of Tien Giang provincial Board for Buddhists Guidance.
At the meeting Venerable Thích Nhuận Đức, Head of Tien Giang provincial Board for Buddhists Guidance informed the delegation about Buddhist activities in the locality in the past years. He also raised proposals on the establishment of a subordinate unit for Buddhist families and guidelines for Buddhists’ activities.
Also at the meeting, many issued were raised and discussed by the dignitaries and Buddhists, including Buddhist Wedding ceremony, using of the Buddhist card, Buddhist dresses…
Speaking at the meeting, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Duyên, Vice President of the Central VBS Executive Council cum Chairman of the Central Buddhists Guiding Committee reminded Tien Giang provincial Board for Buddhists Guidance to observe the Charter and regulations of the VBS and organize Buddhist activities in ways that suit practical conditions of Tien Giang province./.
