Catholic community in Dong Nai joins hand to support disadvantaged people due to Covid-19

During the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic in Dong Nai province, many volunteer groups in Catholic parishes under Xuan Loc diocese have presented food and other necessities to local people regardless of religion in the province.  

Specifically, Priest Joseph Tạ Duy Tuyền, Head of Tan Bac parish has presented rice, eggs, vegetables, fish sauce, etc. to disadvantaged people in the locality. In addition, the Priest has also set up a free of cost gas station to support people on the journey back to their hometown, where each person  could receive half a liter of gasoline.

In recent days, the Paul Hanh – Mercy charity group in Bien Hoa city’s Tan Bien ward offered free meals, bread and water to people on their way home on 1A National Highway heading from the city to Trang Bom district in the province.

Besides, the Tan Hoa crime prevention and control group in Bien Hoa city’s Tan Hoa ward having members from different religions has been established to support local authorities with a security and order protection in the locality. Over the past days, the group has also presented free breads, fresh water, dumplings to people on their way home on National Highway 1A going through the ward.
