Catholic businesses raise fund for poorest people

Catholic businessmen held on November 8 a ceremony to raise fund for the charity program “Spreading Love for the Poorest People” in Ho Chi Minh city.  

The event drew the participation of Cardinal Jean Baptiste  Phạm Minh Mẫn, Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh city Joseph Nguyễn Năng, Director of St Joseph's Seminary in Ho Chi Minh city Joseph Bùi Công Trác, priests, clerics, guests and about 200 Catholic businessmen.

During the event, Director of the Mobile World Investment Corporation Nguyễn Đức Tài called on Catholic traders to raise 16 billion VND for three social charity projects launched for 2021 that aims to present 2,000 gift sets, each worth six million VND per year to the poor, 200 scholarships, each worth 10 million VND, to poor students with excellent academic results, etc.
