The Committee on Charitable and Social Action – Caritas Vietnam held a closing ceremony for its annual conference 2016 in Ho Chi Minh Archdiocese’s Cathedral on December 15.
The ceremony was chaired by Bishop Thomas Vũ Đình Hiệu of Bui Chu Diocese, Chairman of Caritas Vietnam, and attended by members of Caritas Vietnam, representatives of Caritas from 26 dioceses.
The year-end conference was held on December 13-15 and Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng attended the event’s opening ceremony held in Saint Paul's Convent Chapel in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event reviewed activities of Caritas Vietnam and Caritas in 26 dioceses over the year with discussion of practical isues and mapped out the program of activities for the year 2017.
