Giong Rieng Caodai Parish under Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Kien Giang province solemnly held on April 17 its general conference for 2017-2022 tenure.
The event saw the attendance of a large number of Caodai followers in Giong Rieng district.
Local guests attending the conference’s opening ceremony were Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Hoàng Oanh and representatives of the district’s authorities.
The event reviewed results of religious activities of the parish in the last term (2012-2017) and approved working plans for the 2017-2022 tenure.
The conference also elected 3 members to the parish’s management board for the new term and nominated 10 delegates to attend the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s Humanity Congress to be held in the coming time.
As reported at the conference, Giong Rieng Caodai Parish has actively joint patriotic emulation movements launched by the local authorities, as well as contributed nearly VND 1 billion to social and charitable activities in the locality.
