A delegation from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Chapter in Quang Binh province and Buddhist volunteers and sponsors visited and presented gifts to victims affected by typhoon Doksuri in Quang Trach district’s communes of Quang Phuong and Quang Luu on September 22.
The delegation included Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS Chapter in the province Thích Tánh Nhiếp, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Huyền from Quang Huong Gia Lam monastery and sponsors from Ho Chi Minh city and in the province.
The delegation presented 500 gift boxes containing daily necessaries and cash worth VND 220 million in total to local residents.
On the same day, the charity board of the VBS Chapter in the province and charity board of the VBS Chapter in Da Nang city also presented 100 gift sets (worth 30 million VND) to ethnic minorities in A Rem village, Bo Trach district.
Earlier, on September 21, the Public Security Newspaper and Huda Beer in collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Bo Trach district presented 500 gift sets (each set worth 400,000 VND) including rice, noodles, cooking oil and milk to victims of the Doksuri in two communes of Thanh Trach and Hai Trach in the province’s Bo Trach district.
