On September 13, the association for solidarity of patriotic Buddhist monks in Kien Giang province’s Go Quao district presented 9,000 notebooks, 2,000 pens and 10 sets of new clothes to pupils from poor families in the district.
These notebooks, pens and new clothes have been presented to disadvantaged pupils from elementary and primary schools in communes of Dinh Hoa, Thuy Lieu and Long Thanh in the district.
Due to a gathering restriction for preventing the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, the association has sent notebooks, pens and new clothes to these schools in order to hand over them to disadvantaged when the epidemic risk is over.
Earlier, on September 12, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s board for social charity in Kon Tum province organized a charity program to present gifts to pupils in remote areas near Khanh Son and Khanh Lam pagodas.

Khanh Son pagoda is located in Sa Thay district and Khanh Lam pagoda situated in Mang Den town of Kon Plong district, and the two districts are home to many ethnic minorities whose lives still face with difficulties.
During the event, the organizing board presented 140 gift sets to pupils who are ethnic minorities in Sa Thay district, 104 gift sets to pupils of ethnic minorities in Kon Plong district on occasion of the new school year 2021-2022.
