Venerable Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s charitable board in Dong Thap province Thích Thiện Quý and a volunteer group from Ho Chi Minh city implemented several social charitable activities in Dong Thap province on May 6.
They joint the inauguration of a reinforced concrete bridge in Lang Bien commune of Thap Muoi district with 32m long and 3m built at the construction cost of VND 180 million, of which the provincial VBS’s charitable board and the Buddhist volunteer group supported VND 125 million.
On the same day, the volunteer group handed over five charitable houses as well as family supplies with the total value of over VND 300 million to disadvantaged families.
