On September 5, 2014, Nguyen Quang Mercy Buddhist group in collaboration with Nghe An provincial Department of Home Affairs presented 221 gift boxes to pupils at Tien Phong II primary school in Que Phong district
Each presented gift box contains uniform and personal articles worth 200,000VND. Nguyen Quang Mercy Buddhist also awarded 20 scholarships to 20 poor and excellent pupils, worth 300,000 VND each scholarship.
The fund for children gifts and scholarships was raised by Nguyen Quang Mercy Buddhist group and Nghe An provincial Department of Home Affairs from businesses and sponsors including officials from Home Affairs Department and members of the Nguyen Quang group.
On this occasion, Nguyen Quang group and accompanying doctors and nurses collaborated with the school to give instructions on health and environmental hygiene protection to school pupils.
Presenting gifts to orphanage and disableed children at Hien Luong Social Sponsoring Center
On the same day the Nguyen Quang Buddhists came to Hien Luong Social Sponsoring Center in Yen Thanh district of Nghe An provine and presented gift boxes containing of clothes and candies. In addition, Nguyen Quang Mercy Buddhist group distributed 20 gift boxes worth 400,000/box to 20 poor families in Tho Thanh commune of Yen Thanh district.
