The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Board in Tien Giang province’s My Tho city has held a meeting for reviewing its Buddhist affairs 2020.
The meeting was chaired by Senior Venerable Thích Quảng Lộc, Chairman of the Buddhist executive board, and jointed by members of the executive board, and heads of Buddhist worshipping places in the city.
In social charities, Buddhists in the locality have supported the construction of charity houses for the poor, local roads and bridges in localities, collected baggage environmental protection, presented scholars to disadvantaged pupils, sent supports to Agent Orange victims in the province and flood-hit victims in the Central region, etc., with the total contributing value of nearly 12 billion VND for total.
In Buddhist affairs, the executive board in My Tho has successfully organized the Vesak celebration 2020, the 701st death anniversary of King - Monk Trần Nhân Tông, and a requiem for traffic accident victims, etc.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in My Tho city has currently 55 worshipping establishments with 252 monks and nuns.
