Buddhists in Ha Noi send relief to flood-hit victims in Quang Binh

A delegation of Buddhists from Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district led by Nun Abbott of Phuc Lam pagoda Thích Đàm Phương visted a charity visit to flood victims in Quang Binh province.

Visiting the flood-stricken region of Quang Ninh district, the delegation distributed 110 relief packets worth nearly VND 90 million to seriously affected households in communes of An Ninh, Van Ninh, Truong Xuan. Each relief packet worth VND 800,000 included rice, blanket, clothes, shoes, purified water, seasoning, salt, confectionery and VND 100,000 in cash.

At Le Thuy district, 90 relief packets worth over VND 70 million were handed to the poor of Bru-Van Kieu from Ngan Thuy commune.

In addition, the delegation also visited and presented relief support in cash and necessities worth over VND 5 million to some poor households and Van Kieu children in Truong Xuan and Ngan Thuy communes.
