Buddhist temples in Ba Ria – Vung Tau hold celebrating programs for children on occasion of Mid-autumn Festival

Many Buddhist worshipping places in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province’s Tan Thanh district have organized special programs for local children on occasion of the Mid-autumn children festival 2016.

Ho Phap Charity Center presents gifts to orphans.

Ho Phap Charity Center in the district’s Toc Tien commune has held the program “Loving Full-moon” for 500 children who are orphanage and poor children in the district. In addition to favorite traditional arts for children, including the dragon dance, 500 sets of gifts worth about VND 40 million were presented to participating children. The Buddhist charity center is currently taking care of 40 orphans.

Minh Duc Monastery presents scholarships to poor children.

During the program “Mid-autumn Festival”, Minh Duc Buddhist monastery located in Tan Hoa commune presented 50 scholarships to excellent and poor pupils, and 1,650 sets of gifts to participating children, at the total value of VND 70 million raised from Buddhist donors.

Children in Chau Pha commune enjoy celebrating program held at Thien Son pagoda.

Thien Son pagoda in the district’s Chau Pha commune also presented 200 sets of presents worth VND 40 million to poor children in the commune on occasion of the children festival 2016.
