Buddhist temple in Hanoi presents 100 charity gifts to poor families in mountainous North

Venerable Abbot of Tan Hai pagoda located in Hanoi city’s Dan Phuong district Thích Quảng Hiếu led a delegation on January 10 to visit and present charity gifts to poor people in Kim Son commune, Lao Cai province’s Bao Yen district.
The delegation presented over 100 gift sets (each worth 600,000 VND) to 100 poor households from Kim Son commune in the district. The total value of the charity program was over VND 60 million and each gift set included 10kg rice, soup powder, blankets, clothes and VND 200,000) in cash.
Tan Hai pagoda also planned to present about 300 gifts to poor people in mountainous villages of mountainous provinces on occasion of the upcoming traditional New Year (Tet) festival.
