Buddhist Sangha in Ben Tre province builds charity house for poor household

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s executive board in Ben Tre province’s Cho Lach district held on March 17 a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of Mrs. Đinh Thị Bé Bảy’s family house in Long Quoi village, Long Thoi commune.

The event saw the presence of Most Venerable Head of the district VBS’ executive board Thích Giác Tạng and members of the district VBS’ executive board.

Local guests at the event included Vice Chairwoman of the district Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Thị Huệ Thanh and representatives from local authorities.

Accordingly, Mrs. Đinh Thị Bé Bảy family in Long Thoi commune, Cho Lach district was a poor household in the commune. With the spirit of engaged Buddhism, the district VBS’s executive boarded hoped that a new house would help Mrs. Đinh Thị Bé Bảy’s family to overcome difficulties and improve their life.
