The Board for Buddhist Propagation in Ba Ria- Vung Tau province held on August 1st the final preaching competition for summer retreat schools in the province.
The competition took place at Dai Tong Lam College for Buddhist Studies in Tan Thanh district with the parcitipation of 14 monks and nuns selected from summer retreat schools in the province.
Topics of the competition included superstition in meditation, the meaning of the Buddha’s attaining enlightenment, disciplines of Buddhism, Buddhism and environment, Buddhism and youth, Buddhism and six harmonies, contributions of young monks and nunks in modern life, ect.
For the final result, the first prize went to Monk Thích Minh Thạnh from Dai Tong Lam College for Buddhist Studies , the second prize was awarded to Nun Thích nữ Diệu Huệ from Van Phuoc pagoda and third prize was presented to Nun Thích nữ Huệ Tường from Kieu Dan pagoda’s summer retreat school./.
