Buddhist requiem for war victims in Quang Binh

A Buddhist requiem for victims of the Cho Go village massacre was held on July 10 in Quang Binh province.

The Buddhist requiem featured Buddhist rituals including litanies reciting, Buddha offerings and praying services dedicated to120 civilians of Cho Go village killed during a raid by French colonialists in 1947.

The event marking 71 years of the massacre (July 14, 1947-July 14, 2018) was held by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive board in the province’s Quang Ninh district.
