Buddhist pagoda in Ninh Binh province organizes swimming class

Anxious about the situation of drowned children recently happened in localities Nun Abbess of Yen Ninh Pagoda in Vietnam Northern province of Ninh Binh Thích Diệu Nhân has organized a summer swimming class for local children.

It’s surprising to see a moving swimming pool erected in the pagoda in the summer 2016 for free teaching of swimming skills. It’s a special activity in the Summer course set up by Nun Thích Diệu Nhân for enhancing social ethics and skills.

Attending the Summer course this year was over 60 children in the locality and neighboring provinces, and at the age from kindergarten to secondary school.

Though the pool is not large, the swimming class was guided by skilled teachers, and during the class children were provided basic skills for protecting and preventing themselves from drowning.

In addition, the children have been equipped with other self-help skills in emergency cases, including first aid techniques, such as bandaging and antivirus.
