Buddhist pagoda in Da Nang supports construction of charitable house for AO victim

The construction of a charitable house for the family of Mrs. Phan Thi Thuy An in Da Nang city’s Hoa Vang district was started at the ground-breaking ceremony held on August 10, on occasion of the 56th Agent Orange Day in Vietnam (August 10).

Mrs. Phạm Thị Thuỳ An is a single mother and her six-year-old daughter is a victim of Agent Orange (AO) who has suffered from heart disease and cerebral palsy.

The charitable program was sponsored by Ba Da Pagoda located in Da Nang city, the city’s Public Security Newspaper and the Da Nang Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

During the ceremony, on behalf of the sponsors, Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Da Nang city cum Abbot of Ba Da Pagoda Thích Thông Đạo presented 50 million VND to Mrs. Phạm Thị Thuỳ An for building her house.
