Buddhist High School in Da Nang presents financial support to poor families and scholarships to students with excellent school results

The Buddhist High School in Da Nang city held on October 30 a ceremony for presenting financial support to disadvantaged households for building their houses and scholarships to students of poor families successfully overcoming difficulties in their studies.
Present at the event taking place at Pho Da pagoda located in the city’s Hai Chau district included representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the city, the municipal Education and Training Department, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in the city, members of the Buddhist High School’s Administration Board, disadvantaged households and students successfully overcoming difficulties in their studies.
During the ceremony, the Buddhist high school handed over financial support for building charitable houses to 13 disadvantaged households in seven districts of the city, and offered 70 scholarships to students of poor families who have successfully overcome difficulties in their studies in the locality. The total value of financial support and scholarships is 680 million VND, which has been contributed by monks and nuns of the Buddhist high school and lay Buddhists.
