PANO - A Buddhist Culture Week began in Ho Chi Minh City on October 28 in celebration of the municipal Buddhist Sangha Congress for the 2017-2022 term. The program was conducted by the municipal Buddhist Executive Committee.
The opening ceremony saw the participation of Most Venerable Thích Thiện Tánh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council and many monks, nuns and followers in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.
A ten-day exhibition aims to introduce 200 publications and paintings and show images of Buddhist activities in 24 districts and 13 boards of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha in the past terms with a focus on activities in the last term.
The exhibition helps viewers learn more about the importance and contributions of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha to Buddhism and the nation, contributing to enhancing the position of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the nation and over the world.
The exhibition also introduces to visitors many Buddhist cultural art works.
