Buddhist Church in Tien Giang raises 23 billion VND for social charities in first 6 months

The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Chapter in Tien Giang province has recorded good results in both religious and social affairs for the first half of 2016.
According a report, in the first six months of the year, the Buddhist committee raised over 23 billion VND from Buddhists and donors for helping Vietnamese heroic mothers, poor elderly, children and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, conducting medical charities for the poor, and presenting charitable houses, scholarships and wheelchairs to those in special difficulties, etc.
