A delegation from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Chapter in Quang Binh province and Nguyen Ngo pagoda in Hoa Chi Minh city paid a charity visit to Arem ethnic people in the province’s Bo Trach district on October 22.
Attending the charity visit were Most Venerable Member of the VBS’s Executive Council, Chairman of the provincial VBS Chapter Thích Tánh Nhiếp, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Huyền from Nguyen Ngo pagoda, local authorities’ representatives and Buddhist volunteers.
Presenting gifts to Arem ethnic group in Bo Trach district
During the visit, the delegation presented 100 gift packages to Arem ethnic community in Bo Trach district’s Tan Trach commune; each gift set contains rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, clothes and other necessities worth 500 thousand VND .
On the same day, the delegation also presented 100 gift sets (each set worth 400 thousand VND) in Cu Lac village (Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district) and 75 gift boxes (each set worth 500 thousand VND) to ethnic people in Khe Loi village (Thuong Trach commune, Bo Trach district).
