The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board in Quang Binh province’s Quang Ninh district and a Buddhist volunteer group handed over VND 30 million to the district general hospital and a scholarship worth VND five million to pupils in the district at an art performance held on May 5 to raise fund for charity.
The art performance was organized by Quang Ninh district Red Cross association in collaboration with the district Youth Union.
Since its establishment, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board in the district has proactively engaged in social charities, including the building of charity houses, provision of free porridge for poor patients at the district general hospital once a week and supports to the poor, contributing to help local disadvantaged people improving their life. /.
