Buddhism in Hung Yen province holds a conference to review Buddhists activities in the first 6 months of 2014

On August 29th 2014, the closing ceremony for summer retreat B.E 2558 – 2014 and a conference to review Buddhists activities in the first 6 months of 2014 were held in Buddhist school 1 (Tao pagoda, Hien Nam ward, Hung Yen city)

Most Venerable Thích Thanh Hiện, member of the Executive Council, Head of Hung Yen province’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee and President of Buddhist school 1 delivered a speech at the closing ceremony. Venerable Thích Thanh Nguyên, Secretary of the Executive Committee of Hung Yen province’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha read a report to review Buddhists activities in the first 6 months of 2014.

On behalf of the Hung Yen province’s authorities, Mr. Bùi Văn Nho, Vice-Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee highly valued efforts by monks and nuns in this Summer Retreat and congratulated the Executive Committee of Hung Yen province’s Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to achieve good results in Buddhist activities, contributing to Buddhism development in Hung Yen province.
