Bishop Head of the Church’s Representative Committee in Ben Tre province Lương Văn Thế chaired a meeting to review the Committee’s performance in the first quarter of 2015 in Tien Thuy commune, Chau Thanh district on Feb. 28.
Attending the meeting were Bishop Ngọc Huyện Thanh, Deputy Head of the Church’s provincial Representative Committee, 50 dignitaries and deacons from 24 Management Boards in the locality.
Local guest at the event included representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Division of Home Affairs of Chau Thanh district.
According to the meeting report, in the first quarter, the Ben Tre provincial Representative Committee of the Ante-Creation Caodai Church recorded good results in religious affairs and charitable activities, and 24 out of 29 Management Boards of Caodai Oratories in the locality elected representatives to the General Congress of the Church for 2015-2020 tenure.
Speaking at the meeting, Bishop Ngọc Huyện Thanh urged the Representative Committee, Management Boards and followers to promote fine traditions of the Ante-Creation Caodai Church as well as to stay closely attached to and accompany with the nation in the cause of national construction and defense.
