Attending the anniversary included Priest Vicar General Paul Trần Kỳ Minh, relatives of the late priest and a large number of priests and Catholic believers in the parish.

The late priest Peter Nguyễn Văn Vĩnh, who was former priest of Bang Lang Parish from 1998 to 2015, died in September 2015. The priest was also a former member of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics in Tien Giang province and Chairman of the Cai Be district Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics in 2010-2015 tenure. With contributions to movements launched by the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics, the priest received many certificates of merit from the Vietnam Catholic Church and State authorities.
