On Dec. 4, a ceremony was held at Polei Brel Dor Protestant church in Vietnam central province of Gia Lai on the occasion of completion of Bible translation into Bahnar ethnic language.
The ceremony was held by Bahnar Protestant community under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) and attended by Pastor President of the Church Phan Vĩnh Cự, and large numbers of Protestant dignitaries and followers.
It’s reported that, with support from the Summer Institute Linguistics Inc. in the US, the translation of the Bible’s New Testament into Bahnar language has been completed much earlier and later published for usage by Bahnar ethnic Protestants in Vietnam. With the new translation of the Old Testament 2015, the whole Bible’s Old and New Testaments have finally completed.
