Venerable Thích Quảng Minh was formally appointed as Abbot of An Phuoc Pagoda in Da Nang city’s Son Tra distric at a ceremony held on March 19 by the district Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Board.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the city Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Đăng Hải and Chairman of the city Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Khôi.
Earlier, An Phuoc Pagodal held a Buddhist program on March 18 for nearly 400 Buddhist followers in the city.
