400 new collage students attend Buddhist program in Thai Binh

As many as 400 new students of the vocational training college in Thai Binh province has attended a one-day Buddhist program held by Tu Xuyen Pagoda located in Thai Binh city.

During the event, the new students had the opportunities to learn about basic Buddhist teachings, including four debts of gratitude and duties of children and students in current society, as presented by Seniour Venerable Abbot Thích Thanh Định and other monks from the pagoda.

As the event taking place during the Vu Lan Festival, known as Buddhist Parents Day, the one-day Buddhist program also featured a recitation of Ullambana Sutra for understanding the hardship and sacrifice endured by the parents in raising the children and a rose-presenting ceremony for expressing deep gratitude to the parents.
