The Management Board of the Buddhist School in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province’s Tan Thanh district located inside the Van Phat Quang Dai Tong Lam pagoda held a ceremony on April 8 to present graduation certificates to monks, nuns from the Buddhist School.
The event saw the participation of Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council Thích Giác Toàn, Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Quảng Hiển, the Principal of Dai Tong Lam Buddhist School, representatives from the VBS Executive Committee in the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An and Ho Chi Minh city, and large numbers of monks, nuns in the school.
During the ceremony, the Dai Tong Lam Buddhist School handed over certificates for 284 monks and nuns completing the 2014-2017 Buddhist training for the 6th college-level course and 8th intermediate course according to the standard training program of the VBS Committee for Clergy Education with 16 monks, nuns awarded excellent certificates.
On this occasion, the Buddhist School also opened the new school year for the 7th college-level course and 9th intermediate course for the 2017-2020 period with the participation of 188 monks and nuns.
